Brett Stryker was an officer with Central Intelligence Service Special Operations.

As a Commander, Stryker wrote the introduction for Slade Carver's book, CIS Interplanetary Combat Manual.

In 2790, Stryker, then a Colonel, eulogized Carver in an e-mail to Vel Ricaud shortly after his death.
