TCS Concordia, Sol Sector, circa 2654.

HISTORY
The Concordia supercruiser was developed during the Pilgrim War as a midterm replacement for the Confederation's increasingly outdated line battleships. The first ship of the class was named after the fleet carrier TCS Concordia lost during the McAuliffe Ambush; this Concordia became the Confederation's overall flagship in 2645.
Concordia-class ships, the largest battleships in the fleet until the TCS Behemoth, were designed to serve both traditional battleship roles (including ship-to-ship actions and ship-to-planet strategic bombardment) and to operate as mobile command centers for naval operations using an array of enhanced long-range communications and sensor packages. They are generally protected by two destroyers and a cruiser and often travel in company with transport convoys. Concordias also carry a fully equipped military hospital.
In 2654, several Concordias were destroyed in an attack on the Pegasus Naval Base. In response, Commodore Tolwyn lead a fleet of the ships to Earth aboard the TCS Concordia herself, staving off a Kilrathi invasion. Weeks later, the Concordia-class Olympus mutinied: a group of Pilgrim terrorists had taken the ship and modified her for a violent crusade against human and Kilrathi worlds. The TCS Concordia was still in service as of 2656.
