well I'm fairly certain you are wrong about basilisk emulating ppc else there would be no reason to use sheepshaver. And I do know that basilisk cant handle above os8 for that reason. I think you have it the other way around, sheepshaver has an "experimental" feature to read 86k stuff, but Basiisk is far better for that. Anyway, your right about swc supporting both. I have tried sheepshaver on windows and it is indeed awkward. Most the time it wont even load and even when it works, it has difficulty supporting quicktime 3 for no reason.
 
Oopsie - double checked and you're right, I got it backwards!

It is a tad unstable, and quicktime 2 was as far as I went (and frankly that breaks the sound compared to the quicktime bundled in os7 despite it being recommended)

But yeah, basilisk was somewhat better on pc, but both were a tad unstable - might try it on my fiancee's powerbook when its fixed.
