Is asking for a burned copy of ONE CD (out of 6) considered as pirating?
I suppose so, because you could ask a copy of CD1 from one guy, CD2 from another, etc. until you have the full game... :)

It wouldn't be pirating. I bought a license to play and own the game, not the individual CD. Technically, I COULD ask for every CD. I have bought the 'intellectual property'. :)

I think I may invest in a cd repair kit. It works by removing some layers of the cd thus reducing the severity of the scratches. Or so the theory goes...

DO NOT POST WEBSITES THAT GIVE OUT OLD WING COMMANDER GAMES!

WC:KS is NOT abandonware!

Redwolf, it always used to be that when you bought a game you were entitled to make a backup copy for personal use in case the disks went corrupt. CD-ROMs made this a bit more difficult;)

I'd say that if you have bought a legimate copy of the game, you would be justified in burning off a copy of the CD.
 
Abandonware????, well to tell the true is inposible to buy WC:KS in stores now, but what i hate of all this warez site, is the games sucks there, they are no complete, ans somtimes they may have virus, better not to touch this sites
