Who would you cast in a WC movie

That kind of reminds me of the Englishmen with the German accents in Das Boat.

Anyone know what I'm talking about?

Ah, so it is in the Golan Heights? I was just curious, because two of my brothers are there right now, at an archaeological dig.

Note that I didn't say Tcheky needs to be replaced

. I actually thought he was a fairly good Paladin.

Dubbing? No, begone, foul daemon! I get enough dubbing when I'm in Poland

Dralthi5: All the actors in Das Boot were Germans. I don't remember any Englishmen. (I should, they just reran the entire 6 hour television series a few months ago.)

They weren't all German. Peter O'Toole's not German. Anyway, what I meant was that the English characters in the movie spoke with German accents. That's all.

TV series? What are you talking about?

Okay, how about Donald Sutherland or Michael Caine for Admiral Tolwyn?

Some info concerning Das Boot (if you are interested):

The story is an adaptation of the novel Das Boot by Lothar Günther Buchheim. In the movie version there are some things that were cut out to spice the whole thing up. But after watching the final cut the author wasn't happy with it, resigned his participation and ordered the movie makers to cut out his name. In some interviews he stated that the movie didn't reflect the message intended by his book.

Since the movie was financed with some public aid they decided to make a TV version which shows more of the character interaction and the boredom on board of U96. LGB gave his OK and everyone lived happily ever after.

The TV series just celebrated its fifth (or was it sixth?) re-run on German TV. I like Jürgen Prochnow as the KaLeu (Kaptänleutnant, that is. There is no captain on a German submarine) but IMO Otto Sander as the wrecked "war hero" Thomsen is even better!

What`s wrong with the original Malcolm McDowell?

Nothing! Just wanted to see how those two would reprise Tolwyn

What about the other characters?

Dennis Rodman for Doomsday
Sharon Stone for Maj. Hammond?!
Sandra Bullock for Sparks

Why do you hate Bear so much? We are talking about the same Bear from WC2, right?

They hate him because they say he shot at them in the game or something. Bad AI, fellas, nothing else

. Bear, as a character, is cool!

Oh, by the way, who would play Bear in a movie?

So, who's gonna reprise Bear? Tom Cruise?

Well no, it's not just that. It's... well, everything. In other words, I hate him for no rational reason, but will nonetheless continue hating him.

It's the character that I hate. As irritating as it is to have a low AI character hitting you more than any other, it is at the bottom of my hate list.

Well, then Tom Cruise would be the perfect choice for Bear, wouldn't he?

God, I can't stand that guy!

So, Quarto, you just hate the guy because you hate him? Okay. Maybe when you read all the novels with Bear, you'll change your mind.

Also, Tom Cruise's too old to play Bear. Wasn't Bear like 22? Tom Cruise is like almost 40.

Damn, I say "like" too much.

Gotta side with Quarto. Bear always struck me as kind of whiny, even in the novels. I think they were trying to make him sympathetic, but they overdid it or something.
