Whats the use of Capships?

Oh, sorry :). I kinda assumed that everybody knew some French, since Angel kept throwing it at us ;).

C'est la vie means that's life.
N'est-ce pas means simply is it not.
 
Adding in little bits of French to your speech is one of those things that, at the time, seems like the coolest thing you've ever done. It's not until much, much later that you realize it makes you look like a moron.

I speak from experience.
 
what experience would this be?

besides, French isn't so bad.. I know this guy that keeps muttering japenese under his breath... How can you translate sumthin' thats in a different alphabet?
Or is this just me bein' thick as an extended dump truck?

well you're suposed to be an anime fan and therefore exposed to the language. :/
 
Ah, but you see, LOAF, I really couldn't care less whether adding little bits of French is cool or makes me look like a moron. I do so, because I actually enjoy French. I'd use more of it, but this is an English-speaking board, so I have to limit myself to stuff that everybody either immediately understands or can figure out.
 
I'm with you, Q. My parents are from Mauritius, and they basically speak pidgin French there, so I have to put up with it all the time. :)

In any case, if I someone is hurt or otherwise in need of sympathy, I always say "Je suis desolee" whether I mean it or not.
