RF upgrades

Okay, I just finished the first campaign and I began RF on Jolson. Not wanting to begin the story missions right away, I headed off to Perry to get the new upgrades, when lo' and behold, there are none.

In the oringal RF there was the Fusion Cannon, Isometal Armor, a gun cooler, and a few other upgrades to your ship. I was fully expecting to see these. Are they availabe elsewhere? Or were they cut from this remake?
 
also, save, quit and restart - the items available for purchase seem to depend on the status of the saved game loaded at game start, not the status of the current game.

of course, since i assume you quit out to post, you may already know this.
 
I did not know that, but on a return trip to Perry, I checked again and many of the enhancements were there.

I guess I'll just check every system I go to now. Perhaps I'll find what I'm looking for then.
 
In the original Priv, every base that had a ship dealer had every upgrade; in the remake, the tech level depends on where you land -- a refinery is more likely to have high tech stuff than an agri planet.
