Question on the Timeline

Snakier

Technically, no. The Fralthi had two configurations, as a cruiser or a light carrier. I don't have the book in front of me, but it did have a decent fighter compliment, no where near the Claw, but not shabby. The Sankier was, to the best of my knowledge, the first Kilrathi dedicated carrier (it doesn't also have a cruiser configuration) that we see in the games.

Going back to the movie's ships; isn't the Snakier that follows Blair through the jump supposed to be a carrier?

In the movie, the Snakeir-Class is a dreadnought and the Kilrathi's largest known warship, but it also serves as a carrier, capable of carrying around 200 fighters.

In WC1, the Tiger's Claw carried up to 104 fighters; the Fralthi 20.

EW: The title FLeet Admiral is a Rank, Fleet Admiral follows right before space marshal but after full admiral, and Captain is different than Admiral, Commodore is what one would refer to someone who is lower than an admiral but still commands more that one cap ship. At least that is the way it has been since the days of sail.

In our current US Navy Fleet Admiral refers to a rank only held in war time. Now things may be slightly different in Confed, but as for the US Navy a Fleet Admiral is an O-11 in paygrade and has five stars, much like a five star General. Admiral Chester Nimitz was a fleet admiral during WWII though he was not the only one.

The rank of Commodore is no longer used in the US Navy, but 100 years ago it would refer to somone who held the lowest of Admiral Ranks. Since the ranking structure goes as follows:
O-7 Rear Admiral (Lower Half)
O-8 Rear Admiral (Upper Half)
O-9 Vice Admiral
O-10 Admiral
O-11 Fleet Admiral

It would be wise to assume that Space Marshall follows fleet admiral, and that the rank of Commodore takes the place of Rear Admiral (Lower Half) in the Confederation Navy.

If you have any doubts on it. Consult the Victory Streak.

In WC Commodores don’t always command more than one capships, although there was O’brian that commanded the Tarawa and therefore her battle group during the End Run, as well as a Commodore who was the CO of a destroyer squadron in FA. However, just like someone already mentioned, Commodores used to be the lowest ranking Admirals, and that’s what they are in WC. As for Fleet Admiral, I don’t recall there being such a rank in WCU. I’ll have to check when I get back home.

Going back to the movie's ships; isn't the Snakier that follows Blair through the jump supposed to be a carrier? Because if I am not mistaken, the Snakier is the first Kilrathi carrier that we see in WC.
The movie Snakier is a different class than the carrier, it’s a super dreadnought.
