Getting back to the original topic, I'm a little surprised that nobody's wondered whether the Shiraak made it to Sol or not.

So it seems to me that either the Lexington and the Shiraak destroyed each other, or they just got lost out there...
or each carrier was destroyed by the others fleet. That seems the most probable explination cause the chances of both carriers finding each other and then both carriers and their fighters destroying eachother is astronomical.

In that theory,Angel had nothing to do with the Lexington then, cause she reached somehow Kilrah.
What makes no sense is why the Kilrathi send a Carrier to find our Homeworld ?
They had new Capital Warships in 2669 ,and if we werent "Lucky" and they where depoloyed,Earth would be history.
They had almost ready a hole Army and they send a lone carrier?
Kilrathi......
I would assume that both sides were quite aware that their lone carriers would fail to fully achieve their mission. This was, presumably, a sort of experimental extension of the escort-carrier tactics, and the Tarawa's action in particular. By sending a self-sufficient carrier into enemy territory, you would disrupt his war effort. This was especially significant at this point, because both sides wanted time - the Kilrathi, to complete their new fleet, and Confed, to bring the Behemoth online.Originally posted by TCSTigersClaw
