Just as a note, the {} brackets are used on message boards by people who were raised by the like of wwwboard which would just interpret it as an HTML tag and you wouldn't be able to see it. Normally <G> is correct. A few people also use things such as *S* or <@_@> or one of many other ways to note emotion.
