Well, I think we've found pretty much every Kilrathi name in existance. Let the drift continue!

Agreed!

But where d'you live anyway, Steampunk? Didn't get an *overwhelming* tourist response in Sydney surburbia.

Uhhh, Quarto and Steampunk? What's wrong with daylight saving and the Olympics. I'm not a sports freak like some people around me, but I also feel a little sad that there isn't going to be anything more to do with the Olympics until Athens.

Well I don't have anything against the Olympics per se. It's just that - Australians being sports freaks - everywhere you go, there's a mention of the Olympics, this was happening long before the Olympics started. They also decided to rearrange everything around the Olympics, and I mean everything. Even universities rearranged their schedules to accomadate it. All this mention of the Olympics drove me and many many other insane long before the Olympics actually started.
However this Olympic stuff wasn't totally a bad thing, I did get an extra month holiday during session to catch up on work, though some people decided to waive this right and now they're so totally screwed, and trains ran on time for a change.

Wedge: I live in Maroubra Jn. Which reminds me, the frickin torch went right by my place. It was a bitch trying to catch a bus. People were standing in the road while there was traffic just to catch a glimpse of the torch. Several people were pretty lucking not to have gotten run over.

You poor poor person! I had everyone blabbering Olympics around me, but I wasn't phased out by it! Torch went near my place too, I thought that was a good thing!

Hey now, DLST rocks. At the beginning and end of school year, I don't have to get up until 7:30 am, don't have to be at school until 9. but once the time rolls back, I have to be up @ 6:30 and be at school by 8. You'd be surprised by how much difference an hour of sleep makes in one's day

I know what you mena. Once you go to university, sleep becomes this shiny happy thing.

Wedge: What can I say, it was too much for me. What's worse is that Athens in 3 years behind and that means that Sydney might get it again. Arghhhhh!

Ain't that the truth, Steampunk. Sleep... I should be sleeping right now, actually... ah, well. I'll sleep tomorrow, I guess

Fear not. Sydney was behind schedule too. I'm sure Athens will get their act together... they must

Eh? They actually change the times of school along with daylight saving?

And I don't understand what Athens being behind schedule has anything to with Sydney.

That's the rule. City behind schedule and IOC thinks they can't make it, games go back to last city.

Seriously? Has that ever happened before? I dunno if that would be a good thing, coming back to Sydney. I really don't think we could top our own performance.

Yup, that's how it works. I doubt they could do any better either. But hey, never hurt to try. And as far as I know, this has never happened before. But there's a first time for everything.

Oh, relax, Steampunk. It took 60 years for Australia to get the Olympics, and it took 44 years the second time round. So, you probably won't have to deal with them again until you're gray, toothless, and go on and on about how in your day...

No, the school stays on "slow time", they don't change. But when I'm an hour ahead of them, since I'm on "fast time", I can come in at 9, and it's only 8 at school. But it's 4 when I get out

You are in no way entitled to any WC games, if you don't have them its your own damn fault.

Hmmm, what happened that WCA got just one season?
