Jump Traces Detected (December 24, 1998)

Telemetry from an outsystem jump node detected a mysterious emission into Sol System space earlier tonight. Early scans suggest one large bogie preceded by eight - possibly a ninth (a large red blip on the radar is obscuring current analysis) - smaller inbounds. Although this task force is currently unidentified, the nearest comm relay is picking up friendly IFF codes. We'll see what this convoy brings in the morning.
