Cap Ship Construction vs. Cap Ship Destruction

If you play at a higher degree of difficulty, that is bound to happen.
So, sprinkle liberally with guns and a dab of missile to soften up the big kats for the Coventry/ Ajax. Unleash Maniac and watch the fireworks.

Boom! ANother kitty litter.

If you're going to call it a quote, at least try to be correct

. I believe what was actually said was, "More kitty litter... I'm hot today!"

Time travel makes me dizzy.....

I liked the capship battles in wc2. In a ferret, all you could do was sit back and watch the BIG guns get fired back and forth. Bad idea it was to get between to, because those antimatter guns were nasty to fighters. Found that out the hard way.

Well, if you have disposed of the escorts, it is the only thing you can do.

Otherwise, keep the Sarthas off the Broadswords. Funny! There was a time in that encounter where one of the Broadswords just bump into the Fralthra (Escort mission)

That escort mission... one of the Sartha always got past me

. Fortunately, the remaining Broadsword managed to take down the Fralthra somehow - at least most of the time. And sometimes, he even survived the Jalkehi on the way back

We sure as hell won't talk about Prophecy that way... It had insanely low system specs compared to most of the rest of the WC series. (And from what I hear about SL no one will bother talking about it)

Try the Starlancer demo. I, for one, have quite enjoyed the game. If you read the stupid PC Gamer review, well, that revier probably didn't even play the damn game, "unoriginal mission deusgn" my ass... Most of the missions in Starlancer are quite original, it has a great graphics engine, and, wow, an actual storyline! Starlancers story is bettern the Freespace 1's... And Freespace 2's I imagine.

I don't know much about the WC3 game engine, but I suspect it would have ground to a halt. Though it could probably manage on today's machines.

I fooled around bit with Arena (WC4 Mission Editor) and at most I could do was 2 Confed, 1 BW Cruisers and the Veusivus vs. a Kilrathi Dreadnought before the game engine crashed. And Confed NEVER won. Dreadnought was just too powerful, unless I flash-paked it (fun, fun, fun)!

The back of the box pretty much summed it up for FS2: "Theyve come to find out what happened to their scouting party..." Meaning that FS2 was a great storyline but the missions were mostly the "OHSHITOHSHITOHSHIT" variety. Very original ones, but so far the GTVA has been getting pretty much wasted. (im only on the fifth mission because it's on a friend's computer.)

Ever tried using multiple torps on the big cat (Dreadnought vs many Longbows) ?
