Behemoth Crew Compliment?

What's funny as well is the fact that I used to think he actually dated those girls, which made me wonder why he had such difficulty with women on the ship. Obviously, several years ago I understood what he was meaning when he said that. ;)

He has a great line in Academy, when Archer's gazing at the two moons on Oasis and he says, "if that's not enough to make you feel romantic, you need help, hehe... ahhh... need any help?"

Maybe Maniac likes vintage nude magazines.

LMAO!

The way Blair spots Maniac originally in WC4 is he sees a man with his back to him across the bar get slapped in the face by a woman. Blair doesn't look twice and walks right over to good old Maniac.

She's at the end of the credits as, "Slapping Woman" :)

That is Biff Tannen. While a character that is probably somehow related to Maniac :) He is not the Maniac.

And everybody knows the Maniac.

Well in order to bring it back.

The Behemoth crew section is fairly small and one would imagine that confed would only have the most essential personal onboard during combat situations. Although, the crew size at the time of its destruction and its actual full compliment may have been different. As there were no personal onboard for weapons or other defensive systems that weren't installed before deployment.

I would also imagine that the Behemonth would also have its own (albeit small) squadron (or wings) of defense fighters slated to just protect the "gunship" itself.

It doesn't seem to have any sort of hangar or launch tube.

... also, they hadn't had time to install *turrets*, it seems doubtful that it would secretly have a flight deck.

Perhaps in an ideal situation they'd have both, but unfortunately not.

Cheers,

Red Coat.

I wonder if the Behemoth has a workstation inside the barrel of the gun, like on the Death Star. ;)

One has to wonder what the Behemoth would have been like if the threat of Belarius hadn't forced Tolwyn to rush it through the final stages.

I recall Tolwyn mentioning he thought the Behemoth was all wrong. The weapon should have been mounted on a platform that could defend itself and move and fight. You would think Confed would have put some sort of hangar deck on the Behemoth, it's not like they didn't have the room for it. The race against time condemned it. If only Tolwyn had known about Paladin's project before right?

Belarius (I know it's spelt wrong) was an interesting idea introduced in FC, it's one of those plot devices, along with Murragh that I thought would have been really interesting to see develop in the WCU.

Actually, I thought that the Behemoth was a more viable plan than the T-bomb. It was doomed more by the fact that Hobbes was a traitor, rather than it being unsuitable to perform it's mission.

The Behemoth reminds me a lot of the massive Nazi railroad guns. Huge guns that could wrought destruction, but required several thousand men to operate. It took away from more important considerations and probably did more to hinder than help. The Behemoth would have required a large escort, it is directly escorted by a light carrier, a cruiser and two destroyers and I'm sure other ships were involved at greater ranges.

The T-bomb is like the a-bomb, it requires less manpower to deliver and is more effective than a giant gun.

I wonder if this ww2 analogy was part of designing the Behemoth and T-bomb (design wise, not in-game universe). It would go along with the idea of WC being WW2 in space.
