The Claw IR was a Kilrathi Empire version of the Image Recognition missile.
The missile locked on a visual source, allowing it to track a single ship without risk of hitting anything else. Locking took several seconds.
Image Recognition missiles were found on the Gratha, Hhriss, and all Bloodfang fighters.
