Category talk:Missions
When it comes time when we have systems that appear in multiple games or multiple times in one game how should we handle naming?
For example: Ghorah Khar System and Ghorah Khar System (Losing) for WC2 then maybe something like Hellespont System (WC IV) and Hellespont System (WCP) to differentiate between them so that articles don't get mixed together from different games when categorizing.
Systems that appear multiple times:
Ghorah Khar
Tesla
Novaya Kiev
Gwynedd
Hellespont
Alcor
Proxima
Ella
Kilrah
Talos
Sol
Also something to think about...Do we want ingame images inserted into articles were relevant? (ie. Shotglass at the bar for Preflight convos in WC1, Briefing room, medal ceremony) If we keep the images small it might be a nice touch. It's something I'll try when incorporating alternative text for a mission. We'll just push until we reach the threshold for too much in one place.
This is still something to think about. We also have the above system issues. How would we like to handle that?
I'm still in favor of making the articles image heavy. We don't need to do it now, but it would be good for someone to do at a later date.
I'm also thinking it would be good to go through every game and create the blank mission entries like we've done for SM1 and SM1.5. That way people could do little things to the articles if they wanted to, like add the images, enter mission info, convos, etc, so that one person wouldn't be required to do it all. I think it might help pick up a few users as well since they wouldn't have to worry about article creation and formating since it would already be there. --Dundradal 22:27, 30 July 2010 (UTC)
The proposed unambiguous naming sounds fine to me. I'll leave it to others to decide how many images to put. If specific scenes are required, I can handle those, time permitting. - Wedge

Link for table editing. Need to start playing around with tables for mission text. --Dundradal 04:48, 7 August 2010 (UTC)
