1240 is a cutscene intended for Wing Commander Prophecy. The scene was cut from the game but it was briefly available to stream on Origin's Wing Commander Prophecy website in 1997. It has not been preserved. Captions for the scene are included in the published version of the game and it appears in the shooting schedule and in drafts of the script. It was original intended to be accessed by clicking on a prompt to "Talk to Zero" before T'lan Meth F5.

Transcript

MAESTRO: To friendship!

ALL: To friendship!

ZERO: May you drink the blood of your enemies while it's still hot. That's a Kilrathi toast, you guys, come on.

MAESTRO: Well, well, well, look what we've got here. So, that's what she goes for.

RACHAEL: Talk about putting a tiger in your tank.

MAESTRO: I think I need to get us another one.

MAESTRO

To friendship!

ALL

To friendship!

They all drink and the glasses hit the table. Smiles from
Rachael, Zero, Casey and Maestro. The door opens and...

MAESTRO

Well, well look who we have here.

Stiletto looking a little uncomfortable, enters with Dekker in
tow. They sit at the bar and Dekker pours her a drink.

MAESTRO

That's what makes her go.

RACHAEL

Talk about putting a tiger in your

tank!

They laugh loudly. Stiletto, while talking to Dekker, notices
Casey laughing with Rachael. This catches Stiletto off guard
for a moment. Stiletto notices, really notices, Casey for the
first time. She then gets back to her conversation with Dekker.

Finley is at the bar. Casey comes up and, plays bar tender.

CASEY

FINLEY

Coffee, black. A pot.

As Casey serves her...

CASEY

You look tired. Did the Captain assign

you another impossible mission?

FINLEY

(nods)

He dumped the files from that Kilrathi

black box in my lap. I've been trying

to recreate the alien's plasma weapon.

CASEY

Trying -- as in no such luck?

FINLEY

And I don't know how much longer I can

stay on-line with no sleep and lots-o

stress.

CASEY

I ask myself the same question every

day. But I keep hanging in -- and so

will you.
