S O C R A Z Y The Even-More-Insane Cousin of the Insane Prophecy Patch v1.0 By Alex "Locke" Fong August 29, 1998 For those who claimed that Prophecy is too easy on NIGHTMARE mode... (gee, Secret Ops was pretty easy on NIGHTMARE MODE!) Since Wing Commander Secret Ops doesn't have a simulator, and since I myself found Secret Ops pretty easy (without even knowing it was on NIGHTMARE!), at the request of several people, I've rewritten WCPCRAZY to work with Secret Ops... SOCRAZY. (yes, it IS _SO_ CRAZY...=> This patch modifies the DATA.TRE. Unzip the contents of the ZIP into your Wing Commander Secret Ops directory and MAKE SURE THAT YOU'RE RUNNING THIS PROGRAM FROM YOUR WING COMMANDER PROPHECY DIRECTORY! OTHERWISE IT WON'T WORK!!! Make Casey's and your wingmen's lives miserable by changing all those Morays, Lampreys, mini-Skates, and Devilrays into... well, why ruin the surprise... apply the patch, run Secret Ops to find out... =) Try ??? if you're REALLY bored... => This should work on all English Secret Ops download packages on the Internet. If it doesn't, email me at apfong@yahoo.com and I'll try to help you out. BTW, since this program modifies DATA.TRE, if something screws up, you'll have to reunzip the DATA.TRE from your download package (yes, the 65 MB or 112 MB file is a huge ZIP file. Use PKUNZIP or WinZIP to extract it). File list: SOCRAZY EXE 38,060 08-29-98 : Patch applyer/remover SOCRAZY TXT 2,396 08-29-98 : The file you're currently reading!
