| The missile locks on heat sources, usually those generated at the tail end of a fighter. If a heat-seeking missile loses its target lock it can acquire another, including that of the ship which fired it.

| The [[Javelin HS]] is a [[Terran Confederation]] version of the missile, while the [[Stalker HS]] was the [[Kilrathi Empire]] version. Heat-seeking missiles are found on the [[Hornet]], [[Scimitar]], [[Raptor]], [[Venture]], [[Dralthi]], [[Krant]], [[Gratha]] and [[Jalthi]].
