Xanadu was seen as something of a pleasure planet for Terran servicemen. The planet was renowned for its vast oceans and numerous archipelagos, which hosted numerous casinos, resorts, restaurants, and recreational sports for battle-weary soldiers and officers to indulge in after long days fighting on the frontlines.
