The Terran News Channel, also known as TNC, is a major news wire for the Terran Confederation. It reported extensively on the Terran-Kilrathi War and the Border Worlds Conflict during the 27th century.
TNC's most prominent anchor was Barbara Miles, an attractive, young, blonde woman. Some speculated she was computer-generated due to her supposedly remarkable beauty. Another anchor named Bob also assisted Barbara in her news reports.
In 2669, during the time in which the Terrans were losing the War, TNC reported that Confed was rumored to be preparing for a Doomsday Evacuation of Earth should the War become impossible to win. This claim was never proved since the Terrans won the War.
