I'm not sure where a suitable place to discuss general things that aren't specific to a particular article might be, so I'll just write something here for now. I just wanted to say that I plan to use the extra material released for the CIC's birthday to upload some nicer images from WC3, if they happen to be better quality than the digital PC video (still in the process of downloading, servers are understandably burdened immediately after the party). Hopefully, they're not too blurry or fuzzy or heavily compressed. - Wedge

Okay. So I may have gone a little overboard, once I discovered how easy it is to play around with images. For your benefit, I thought I'd summarise what I'd wasted (spent?) my time on the past couple of days:

  • Uploaded a better image of Maniac in Prophecy, plus a nice render of WC4's Banshee.
  • The point I'm most pleased about: I uploaded a Confederation flag matching the one in Star*Soldier.
  • Replaced the lossy JPEGs of WC1 fighters with lossless PNGs.
  • Replaced some of the zoomed, dithered WC1 images with clean originals.
  • Hunted down as many duplicates as I could and flagged them in their respective discussion pages.

Phew. I've had enough now, I think I'll go back to passive monitoring of updates. - Wedge

Sorry about that. x.x Like I said last time, in for a penny, in for a pound...

I didn't flag for deletion the WC1 fighter and cap-ship JPEGs that I replaced, though they could probably be deleted too now. I think they were just taken from the CIC's ships database. Also, I replaced the Border Worlds and Black Lance logos with some high-res creations someone did long ago - I hope they're acceptable even if they're not official renders. - Wedge

Okay, thank you. - Wedge

Sorry, I haven't really... I just noticed three pairs of image duplicates, and the PNGs were just copies of the lossy JPEGs. So I tossed out the PNGs. If I had the time, I'd go back to grab fresh, clean nav maps for you... but that's such a well-worn phrase these days, isn't it? 'If I had the time...' ): - Wedge

Done. - Wedge

I'm really grateful for your invitation, I would love to come to that, but I honestly am not sure where I'll be next Tuesday. I will be away next week and whether or not I'll have computer access is questionable right now. If I can find the time, though, I will do what I can to be on. Just name the time and place and I'll try to be there. -Aeronautico

Thanks again, man. Glad to be a part of the WC community. If I can make it, I will do my best to be there. I certainly hope I will be able to make it. Hope to see you there. -Aeronautico
