"Hazard" was the callsign of a Terran Confederation pilot assigned to the TCS Lexington in 2673 during the Border Worlds Conflict. During combat operations against alleged Border Worlds pirates in the Masa System, outgoing Lexington Captain William Eisen and Major Todd Marshall fled the Lexington in a shuttle in an attempt to defect to the Union of Border Worlds. During said attempt, Colonel Christopher Blair's wing elected to defect along with Eisen rather than fire upon the captain as ordered, so Captain Hugh Paulsen deployed Hazard and his wing to intercept the defectors before they reached the BWS Intrepid. During said melee, Hazard's entire wing of Hellcat Vs were shot down and Hazard himself was forced to eject after a pitched battle with Colonel Blair.
