Okay. So I may have gone a little overboard, once I discovered how easy it is to play around with images. For your benefit, I thought I'd summarise what I'd wasted (spent?) my time on the past couple of days:

* Uploaded a better image of Maniac in Prophecy, plus a nice render of WC4's Banshee.
Timeline using year/no month/no day
* The point I'm most pleased about: I uploaded a Confederation flag matching the one in Star*Soldier.
* Replaced the lossy JPEGs of WC1 fighters with lossless PNGs.
* Replaced some of the zoomed, dithered WC1 images with clean originals.
* Hunted down as many duplicates as I could and flagged them in their respective discussion pages.

Phew. I've had enough now, I think I'll go back to passive monitoring of updates. - Wedge

Sorry about that. x.x Like I said last time, in for a penny, in for a pound...

I didn't flag for deletion the WC1 fighter and cap-ship JPEGs that I replaced, though they could probably be deleted too now. I think they were just taken from the CIC's ships database. Also, I replaced the Border Worlds and Black Lance logos with some high-res creations someone did long ago - I hope they're acceptable even if they're not official renders. - Wedge

Sorry, I haven't really... I just noticed three pairs of image duplicates, and the PNGs were just copies of the lossy JPEGs. So I tossed out the PNGs. If I had the time, I'd go back to grab fresh, clean nav maps for you... but that's such a well-worn phrase these days, isn't it? 'If I had the time...' ): - Wedge

I'm really grateful for your invitation, I would love to come to that, but I honestly am not sure where I'll be next Tuesday. I will be away next week and whether or not I'll have computer access is questionable right now. If I can find the time, though, I will do what I can to be on. Just name the time and place and I'll try to be there. -Aeronautico

Thanks again, man. Glad to be a part of the WC community. If I can make it, I will do my best to be there. I certainly hope I will be able to make it. Hope to see you there. -Aeronautico

Hello, Dundradal. Yup, trying to get back into the game a bit. I got your message, when's the next Wingnut meeting? I'll try my best to be there if I can make the time. I can see most of the most recent updates are from Privateer 2 and whatnot; I'm afraid I won't be much good to you guys in that department, I never did play Privateer. But if there's anything else major in the works, I'm wide open to lend a hand if I can.

OK, I've posted two pages in battles but I don't think I did it right as the content is not showing up under the battles Subcategories page, what am I doing wrong? "cheers in advance"

I believe the page to which you were referring regarding the novel/manual texts is the Hornet page (of course, the example page) http://www.wcnews.com/wcpedia/F-36_Hornet - Iceblade

I believe the page to which you were referring regarding the novel/manual texts is the Hornet page (of course, the example page) http://www.wcnews.com/wcpedia/F-36_Hornet - Iceblade

  1. there is no automatic collision detection,
  2. so shift texts up or down manually to avoid overlap

Define $dx = 25 # shift text to right side of bar
