Just wanted to copy and paste this from the CZ so you would know what's up. I've redone the Ships category so in the future when you create a new ship article follow the categorization I've implemented.
Hey, I see you've been back at it. Please try not to create stub articles. If you are going to upload new stuff please do a complete article because otherwise I still have a lot of work of going back through your articles and rewriting them. Also, review the other articles I've rewritten to see the style that should be used. You've got some really awkward and clunky wording in some of the articles and I noticed that needs to be corrected. --Dundradal 11:10, 1 January 2011 (CST)

"Ok so I had some free time today and I went ahead and completely restructured the WCPedia Ships Category. I've gone ahead and tried to categorize as much as possible all existing articles so people can understand how the system works.

Basically most ship articles will 99% of the time fall into 2 subcategories, in a few cases a ship might fall into as many as 6 subcategories because they are used by multiple factions (Confed, UBW, FRL) however they are extremely limited in number.
That link is to the KS manual that has Claw Marks, WC2 manual and Victory Streak within. Please stick to material which you have the sources for. The Blackmane station article looks like you were pulling info from Saga (which is not canon). I deleted the section because it needed to be completely redone. Again, if you have questions ask on the CZ or in #wingnut. I appreciate the help, but as I've said before you should pick an area and then completely develop articles. Jumping from area to area is creating more work in most cases. --Dundradal 13:03, 10 January 2011 (CST)

When creating new ship (cap and fighter) articles just look at the categorization of something similar (heavy fighter, cruiser, etc) and copy and paste the correct category tags into your new article.
I'm in the process of rewriting the Sorthak article currently. The Blackmane article will follow afterwards. --Dundradal 13:21, 10 January 2011 (CST)

For certain factions I didn't break down the subcategories as much because I thought it would have only created unnecessary pages with one link on them. (See FRL and Pirates, Civvies, Steltek, etc)

Another project completed."

I'd actually like to write those articles. We still have some ship entries to add. You should really come by #wingnut more often as LOAF and I are often in there discussing WCPedia stuff. --Dundradal 17:49, 15 January 2011 (CST)

Several of these articles - and not necessarily ones written by you - are written in an atrociously informal tone. Editing some of those articles has been tedious. - Wedge

Sigh. I repeat, I'm not saying the stuff written by you, necessarily. I was mainly frustrated with the Tarawa article which was a grossly informal summary of the events from the novels. - Wedge

I just took fresh screen-shots and saved them as lossless PNGs. Were you trying to do the same? I thought they were just copied from the CIC Guides. I finished SM2 (thought I did that previously, but apparently not) and made a start on WC2, but was too tired to get very far. I'm happy to continued with WC2 + SO1/2, to free you up for other tasks - Wedge.

Hey, there have been quite a few changes since you've last contributed. It would be very beneficial if you came by #wingnut to talk to everyone about the project as we have new systems for article creation and layout in place. --Dundradal 08:01, 10 July 2011 (CDT)

We've been on #wingnut regularly. Just stop by anytime. We've been working on everything layout. The entire project has been split into two parts. The Wing Commander Encyclopedia for real world entries, and the Terran Knowledge Back for inuniverse entries. We've started product landing pages which are under the Games link in the sidebar. Other types of entries are going in in all types of new areas. Just stop by when you can. --Dundradal 18:20, 10 July 2011 (CDT)
