EMERGENCY COMM FROM: CIS HEADQUARTERS, SPECIAL OPS. DIV.
LOCATION: Nav Point #190

TO: Ser Lev Arris
DON'T EVEN THINK ABOUT DECLINING THIS MISSION.
High command have made it a CODE 3 - TOP PRIORITY.

Long range scanners have picked up an unidentified ship at Nav Point #190, The ship is immobilised and we have picked up Papogod pirates closing in. Haul ass A.S.A.P. and rendezvous with the John Doe. Do whatever is required, just make sure you keep that pilot alive for interrogation. Don't screw this one up. Failure is not an option. Do you understand ?

Nice work Lev, now land somewhere with that Pod, so we can find out what this is all about, and you can get paid...

FROM: CIS HEADQUARTERS, SPECIAL OPS. DIV.
TO: Ser Lev Arris

You're running out of chances Arris. We needed that bunny alive. Screw ups like this will not be tolerated.
Thanks to your incompetence we won't find out who or what was on that ship. Don't make us use someone else next time.

Land somewhere so the CIS boys can remove this guy from my hold.

Good work Arris, we couldn't afford any screw ups on this one. We'll inform you if there are any developments.
By the way 3500 creds have been deposited into your account.

Behind the Screens

According to material provided by Paul Hughes, a followup diary entry and message to continue this mission's story were originally written but were commented out of the finished game. They are as follows:

Get back to Hades with the pod.

The pilot you picked up some time ago, has come around after a brief period of shock. Since then he has made surprising improvements, and hopes to return home very soon. He claims to come from another part of the galaxy somewhat similar to our own.

All in all this is a very interesting individual, though we can't tell if he's completely insane or just suffering some temporary nerve damage due to some head injury. In any case we will keep you updated, Ser Arris. Once again, thank you for your speedy attention to his distress call.
