XMS

[Cmdre Crane Seccafien]

I tried using the ems configuration (only just the himem and emm386)from a default memory configuration . Plus I tried using memmaker and it says "No XMS driver installed" should I use qemm386 or smrtdrve instead of the default

Um, just from memory, HIMEM.SYS should be sufficient to access XMS, should it not?

All you need to activate XMS is Himem.sys.
