Hi guys, been reading these forums for quite some time now.
Recently bought WC3 Standard Edition.
Unfortunately I am not completely satisifed with running it thorugh DosBox. Although everything is perfectly configured I can notice a little bit of lag and general "hickups" (albeit not very often) throughout the game.
I then came upon a WinXP HotFix File on the Internet (see http://www.esinn.net/index.php?link=artikel&artikel_nr=100), which makes the game extremely well playable (even under Win7 64Bit) without ANY configuration needed - the game basically plays absolutely perfect like in the old days.
The only problem I have is that when I switch to fullscreen I get glitchy colors (most of the screen is visible but some colors are funny (purple tinted). When I switch to windowed mode, everything is fine. Anyone knows what causes this?
P.S. I get the same problem under DosBox, but could solve it by starteing DosBox in Fullscreen mode (so the computer does not need to switch it when the game starts.
