Wing Commander 3 Problem...

I am running Windows 2000.
When I go to run the game, it says "VirtualProtect() failed." What does this mean. I tried putting it on compaitibility mode but no avail. I tried searching about this in the forum, and any update files, but no avail. Anyone know?

To run Kilrathi Saga WC3 in Windows 2000, you need the patch written by NStriker. It's in the CIC's files section under Kilrathi Saga.

for some it does indead. And if you've got an ATI 9xxx gfx-card, using cat 4.6 is also said to help. But I haven't tested that myself yet.

Sorry, but it doesn't (for everyone) And I'd guess he already tried that...

As I said, it helps some out there. So I'd give it definitely a try if I were you. - Or did I get your question totally wrong?

I tried that windows 2k patch by NStriker, and the game locks up everytime I tried to initiate a conversation with Hobbes or start the mission briefing, just before the first mission.

Any help?
