Wing commander 3 not working!

Hi

My Wing commander 3 not working i have installed in windows 98 and the install went all fine. I loaded up and the video would start then run really fast for a second and then freeze. but when i press escape i exit the video.
I have a
Winfast titanium 200 by leadtek

Should i install qvision patch?

The 2nd problem is that the joystick which is a logetech wingman extreme. Its calibrated yet in Wc3 I move the joystick left a slight bit and the ship goes right if i push it all the way left the ship will evenully go left. I have installed the joystick patch "wc3joytm" and still does it. should i install "wc3joy" or something?

The last problem is that the laser sound affects arent working and the comunications arent working however yet the music is. I have not looked into this problem untill the video and joystick is done.

re video) did you try to play the game in VGA instead of SVGA as a test?
re qvision patch) what is that?
re joystick) are you sure it is calibrated IN WC3? Having calibrated it in windows is useless.
re sound) are you sure you picked the right ports and irqs?
