Wing Commander 1 and 2 Cheats

How do I activate the alt-del cheat and / or invinciblity that was embedded in WC1 and WC2 in the Kilrathi Saga version. The CIC cheat board says to edit the wingcdmg.cng file but I do not seem to be doing it correctly. Any help would be great. :D
 
Wing Commander
Start the game with "wc Origin" at the command line to enter debug mode.
Alt-Del destroys target. Alt-Ins destroys targetted enemy wing.
Start the game with wc.exe Origin -k.
Same as above, plus invincibility.

Wing Commander II
Start the game with "wc2 Origin" at the command line to enter debug mode.
Alt-Del destroys target. Alt-Ins destroys all enemy fighters on the radar.

Start the game with "wc2.exe Origin -k".
Same as above, plus invincibility.
 
I was under the impression that the Origin command was removed from Kilrathi Saga. The CIC board says to edit the config file but I seem to be unable to edit it.
 
There should be an option in the launcher to turn on invincibilty in WC2 in kilrathi saga. I thought you were asking about the DOS version.

How are you editing it?

I think it's a dummy file, I just opened it up with notepad and typed in -k -b.

I did exactly what it said to do here and it worked fine. Good luck!
