Win2000 Joystick issues

I have successfully got WC3 KS to work in the Win2000 win95 compatibility mode but I now can't seem to get the joystick recognized by the program. When I was running the program under win2000 not in compatibility mode the joystick worked thogh the program was unstable. Now I go the program working but can't get the joystick to work. Can anyone help? I have a serial MS Flight Stick Pro connected to the computer.

What happens when you try to do a calibration? In space flight, can you press ALT+O, select Joystick and click Save? Have you tried NStriker's Kilrathi Saga WC3 patch? http://download.wcnews.com/files/wing3/wc3win2kfix.zip
