win 7 WC4 double sided DVD

ok chaps, finally managed to actually GET the game running in windows 7. I can actually navigate the cutscenes/play the game and move about the ship

the only problems im having so far are

Graphic corruption when switching to the flight deck etc after a cutscene. the graphics are all really messed up, its all there but all the colours are messed up with pink being the most used one hehe. Its not game breaking as i can tab thru the actions i can do in whatever part of the ship im in.

Any ideas on how to fix this? or what causes it.

Im not using dosbox or owt, just the patches form the files section and running in xp sp2 compat mode (tried them all just to beable to get the game running almost properly)

Any help to solve this would be greatly appreciated

The problem is that WC4 changes the system color palette, witch Windows Vista and 7 now reset from time to time. Until Microsoft comes up with some kind of "freeze system palette" compatibility setting, your only option is to kill EXPLORER.EXE before you start the game, and then re-launch it after you quit it.
 
Argh, got to side2 of the dvd and SPECIAL4.tre wont read, tried everything to clean the side of the disk to no avail :(((
