Welcome home "Bull" Halsey

Seventh Part of the Seal
Hey everyone,

I'm especially happy today as I just adopted a two year old Pit/English Bulldog. She's a beauty at about 1 1/2 ft tall white with brown patches. Her name was Champagne but thats being changed to Halsey in honor of Admiral "Bull" Halsey.

I have to say, you really have to hand it to these "no kill" shelters. The one we got her at is an MSPCA facility up in Boston. For less than $300 we got the Dog, up to date on her shots, spayed, and Micro chipped. At a pet shop you can pay between $600-$4000 and not get that much. Plus she already responds to commands and everything.

She's such a nice dog too... considering the abusive home she came from.

Anyway, thanks for listening!

Nice!

If you give her a doghouse, I'd suggest naming it Enterprise, considering that was Halsey's favorite ship during WWII. :)

Congratulations and best of luck! We recently adopted a few kittens and have had a fantastic experience with them.

Love the name, too. Hopefully, your dog won't run off to attack another at the first sign of provocation, only to leave you alone and defenseless! :D

Much appreciated, she's pretty docile though... cept she jumps, shes about the size of an english bull, but she can jump 3 feet off the ground easily.

Looks like a great dog.

As an alternative, you can also name the doghouse New Jersey, that was his other favorite ship.
