WCP Videos Go Freakin Fast

Hey WC dudes, I was just installin Prophecy for the first time in like a bajillion years, and it's impossible to watch the videos, cause they skip frames and go hella fast. I figure it's cause 2.4 gHz P4 and 48x CD-ROM is a little too powerful for the game. Is there a fix for this, or am I just screwed?
 
Never mind..... it ended up that the first time i turned off the sound acceleration, it didn't save the changes.... now I feel like a dumbass!
