WCP video trouble

Both Prophecy and SO run fine and all but for some reason there are lines around fighter status thing, the radar thing, and lens flare (the glare from the sun). I can send you guys a screen shot if your not sure what I'm talking about.
Is there a setting on my vid card I can change to fix this?

Oh. Do I need a Voodoo card to have "fog"? I have Direct 3D and Open GL. Or do I need Glide or something for that sort of thing?
 
The lines through the display is a common problem with nVidia cards such as the GeForces. You can sometimes get it to look a bit better by playing with the Texel settings in video card properties, but you can never get it perfect.

As for fog, yes, you need a 3dfx card to get that effect.
 
Not really.. I tried every texel setting and there's always some problem. If it isn't lines through the HUD, it's a missing white Nav point cross.
 
Thanks Saturnyne, that did the trick. No more lines and YES I can still see the nav thing.

And yes I do have a Nvidia video card.
Cpl Hades, maybe you need to updte your drivers. Go to system, click on your display adapter and tell it to search for the newest drivers (ver 4.12.01.0631). It should search for them on the net and download them if you don't already have them
 
I have the 21.81 drivers..
It may also depends which card you have. I have a GeForce 2.. the problem might not be so bad with an original GeForce or a GeForce 3.

As for the GeForce... the 22.80's have been released (I can only use up to 6.xx on mine for some reason), and I've heard some good things about them.

Also, if you're looking for a GeForce 3... it's basically a 2 on speed. I haven't noticed any improvements in image quality at all.
