WCP problem

Hey this is kinda on topic. I have a really fast comp. right? and i try to play WCP. well when i do, it skips alot of things. I heared this i because my CD rom is too fast. It slows down a bit when i put on subtitles, but sometimes it still skips whole sentences, do you know of anything else ican try other than putting together a slower computer? I'd appreciate any advice. thanks

Try this: Run dxdiag.exe. From there go to "sound" and turn sound acceleration off. That should solve the problem.

Also try the various compatimpilities if you got WinXP.It has nothing to do with your CD-rom`s speed.

i have win98, but i recently found out that i must have a bad copie or something, because it corupted another file i had. so i'm going to wait until i buy a new copy.
