WCP - problem with High Res

I've installed WCP, and the high res (for Vista), including the Vista specific high res. I've got all the VOB's in the movie subfolder, and I can play them using Media Player classic (but not Media Player). However, during the game I get a bunch of task switching and grey screens, then the original graphics, or no graphics at all.

I have .vob defaulted to Media Player Classic.

Hmm... sounds odd. One thing I will say is that IIRC the DVD patch and highres are separate patches. You can apply the dvd part without actually running the highres portion. For the highres game graphics and improved resolutions you need to copy the appropriate tre files to the harddrive and run the separate patch executable to update the game files.

There is a possibility that the two patches aren't compatible with eachother but my regular PC is still down so I can't test that for you at the very moment.
