WCP Help

KillJoy748

Spaceman
I decided to play WCP again and noticed that I cannot play the second disk because i have scratch on it making speech2.tre unreadable. I was wondering if anyone had an idea where I could download this file or if someone was willing to post it somewhere or send it to me. Thanks.

I would help you but I think this violates rule #11:

11) Linking to, offering, requesting, or hinting at the existence or whereabouts of warez, abandonwarez or other illegal content, can result in immediate banning.

Can anyone make any suggestions at obtaining this file in a legitimate way that does not require the repurchase of the product? I'd be happy to do this. I thinking it's pretty obvious that I'm not trying to steal the game because I'm only asking for a file not the crack or warez etc. I bought WCP as part of the scifi pack at Sam's a long time ago. It came with Dune 2000 and Blade Runner. I wish there was real tech support so that things like this wouldn't have to happen. But naturally the game is too old to be supported. I understand you're worried about that. Thanks for wanting to help tho. I hope somebody will help me otherwise I'll just have to keep playing disc 1. Unless somebody konws a way to skip past Disk 2.

@Erkle: He isn't exactly asking for Warez.

@KillJoy748: You complain that there isn't tech support, but did you actually try to contact EA tech support with your problem?

I would prefer if someone could provide me with the file. If not I guess I'll just not be able to play the game past disk 2. I don't think the file is worth the price. I did contact EA and they will provide me with another disk at the cost of $7.50 plus postage for the damaged cd. Here is the reply from him concerning my problem. Please reply to this thread again if you will help me obtain speech2.tre from Disk 2. Thanks.

I don't have the webpage to upload a file that size, sorry. I would mail it to you, but postage would probably be about as expensive then what EA is charging you for the disk as I am from Austria.

Sorry about that Erkle. I did get it. I actually downloaded 56K the first day and got disconnected during the last 5%. So after 5hrs of wasted download I asked a friend to download via cable. I didn't want to reply until I was sure that I had gotten it and I have. Thank you so much. I'll be moving onto disk 2 this week. If the file is corrupt I'll email you. Thanks again and Merry Christmas everyone.
