WCIV DVD on Windows XP - slowing it down

I've got the game running on XP using the DVD fix and running in compatability mode. Movies work perfectly, graphics are fine, sound is fine/

However the game itself, flying etc is too fast. It makes combat impossible. I would say it is running about twice normal speed. How can I slow it down to normal speed?

Windows XP SP2
Athlon FX53
1 Gb memory
Geforce 4 FX5600

It woks fine with me, but you could get a turbo, which slows down your computer when you want. And you can even put it back to full speed.
 
Do you have any links to a freeware turbo that works on XP SP2?
