WC4 Problems!!

when i test the sound card, during the install it says bar will move left to right well, a bar never appears, also when it tests the movies it locks up , i can launch the game but i get no sound and it doesnt show any of the introduction until i hit enter,after i do that it jumps straight to the decision to straighten the guy in the bar out, again no sound and no picture then when i make the decision concerning the guy in the bar it shows the scene but locks up until i hit enter
i have win98
1.7ghz celeron
64mb nvidia card
256mb ram
512 soundblaster card
i have KS, but didnt use any of the instructions in the KS manual, for the win98 patch, WC4 immediately launched when i put the cd in.
i know this sounds vague, but if anyone could help it would be greatly appreciated, also i have no problems in flight, but theres no sound
 
1) No bar. The sound will move from (your) left (speaker) to (your) right (speaker).
2) Try setting your card to regular sound blaster, instead of SB PRO or SB 16.
3) Are you running the game in Windows or DOS? With Windows 98, you can run the game in DOS. To run the game in Windows, you need a patch.
4) WC4 ain´t part of KS.

Also, what does KS have to do with all that?
