WC4 No video

Hi, i've been having problems getting my DVD version of WC4.

I have installed without problems, but when i start the game i get no video, just the sound of the video. I can skip these with ESC and i get to the choice to help him out etc, but all this time i'm not seeing anything.

I've read trough this forum and i've tried all the tips and gulikoza's patch/fix but still the same. I think it's not actually related to the game itself but maybe something to do with the codecs i have installed or something? Because i have windows media player 10 and windows media player classic and WMP10 plays every other video file i have, but with WMPclassic i get the same: black screen and sound only.

I still hope anyone here knows what the problem could be and how to fix it, i'd appreciate any tips.

EDIT: I've downloaden and installed the newest k-lite mega codec pack, and now i have video! hooray! long time since i saw that intro!....however...now i don't get any choices when the old veteran asks me if i can help him out....so it's either being able to see the videos or being able to choose? I can't skip videos anymore either, ESC doesn't do anything. Any suggestions would be welcome!

Glad to hear you got the videos, but I don't understand what the new problem is. If there are no choices, what is happening? Does the game crash when you reach where the choice would have been? I wouldn't think installing codecs would break video selection and skipping. Maybe you just need to reinstall WC4 and gulikoza's patch.

Additionally try to simply press up and down on the keypad. I had the problem in the past that the choices were there, but were not displayed on screen (however, the 'narrator' will read them, so you know what you select).
