Hi!
Thanks to this site i did get Wingcommander 4 (CD Version) to work on my windows 2000, but it does not detect a joystick. I also tryed my old Logitech Wingman, as i have a USB Joystick. From what i found out it seems to be a problem with the w2kfix. Is there any way i have not to play with mouse or keyboard? I can't fly that way, i need a stick :(

Any ideas? Im thinking of getting my old P200 running again with dos for all the good old games...

Make sure that your Joystick is set to ID #1. You can go into the Control Panel, double-click on Gaming Options, then select the Controller IDs tab, and use the "Change" button to switch it to ID #1.

FYI, you may have to install the Microsoft Application Compatibility Toolkit to keep WC4 from crashing at inopportune moments.

The Logitech is #1. Does not help. The only way i get to chose joystick is when i install that joystick fix and start the normal setup (not wc4w) then i can chose joystick, flighstick etc, but the calibration just shows some static numbers now matter what i do to the joystick. I have the comp-mode. Works nice, but with mouse or keyboard its sooo bad, even maniac did laugh at my skills...

But im getting some hardware soon so i can release the old P200 out of the slavery beeing my router. Will get a nice Dos and Win98 and all the good old games. Im even planning of getting my old C64 running again :)
