wc4 install locks up

I've got win2000 and tried to install wing commander 4 but during the machine speed test he simply locks up.

My WC3 test locked up, I just restarted with a small amount of stuff open as opposed to the motherload I'm usually running. Try that. Or maybe your computer isn't fast enough...

Try running the install program using the Program Compatability Wizard in the Accesories menu.

Its a feature unique to XP

Go to the Accesories menu, click "Program Compatability Wizard"

A choice will come up to select a file. CLick browse and find the WC3 or 4 install file. After that select Windows 95 as the operating system and then follow through the rest of the steps and then at the end, run the program and see if it works.
