I can install WC4 in XP but when I play it the sound stutters and pops which causes the movies to do the same. Ive tried DosBox but when I try to play it it comes up with an error about my video card not being VCPI Compliant or something like that. I dont know what to do. :-( Can anyone help?

Have you tried the win95 patch found here in the CIC's files section? Aply it to your wc4 install and then set the compatibility to win 95 or 98. If you have turned off your sound hardware acceleration to run run prophecy/ secret ops then try turning it back on and see if that fixes it.

Hello,

I just received my Wing Commander 2.0 DVD version. At first it did not run at all. I treid your patch and it seems to work....only movies do not work. I get the error Missing Movie and then L:\vob\SC_0010A.vob happens with all the movies....what am I doing wrong?

By the way...the movie is indeed located in that drive and directory.

First make sure the compatibility is set to win95/98. Search the CIC for Gulikoza's DVD patch. (The WC4 DVD is already the win95 version) THe problem with the DVD is that it was originaly packaged with creatives dxr2 or dxr5 mpeg2 hadware decoder boards and it pretty much only runs with those. Therefore you need the patch found here :https://www.wcnews.com/news/update/5426
