WC4 CD-Version - CD-change fails under DOSBox

Well, i managed to run WC 3 and 4 under XP with reading this forum and i'am very thankfull for many postings here with interesting help. But i'm not able to find something for my new Problem (or i'm to sleepy, sorry when the problem ist cleared somewhere here....

But now i encountered a problem in WC4. Wenn WC 4 requires to change CD 1 to CD 2 after jumping to Masa-System, i can read the Text which says that the Disk has to be changed, und then the game shuts down to DOSBox und DOSBos shuts down to and i'm on my XP-Desktop.

Using DOSBox 0.70 with the config from the sticky 100% WC3 under XP thread. Same Problem with DOSBox 0.72

Any suggestions how to get this fixed?

The dosbox.conf posted in that thread was meant for 0.65, and while not much as probably changed, there are a few things in there I probably would recommend you change (core=dynamic, for example - at the very least change this to core=auto or core=normal and see how that works)

I would start fresh with a new 0.72 install and then follow the tech support steps at https://www.wcnews.com/techsupport.shtml#wc4
