WC3 Won't work

hi, I'd like to play on my wing commander 3 again but it wont work, on the disc version or on my kilrathi saga (i dont know how to get it working). Apparently there is a patch but i dont know if it will ruin my computer or not. Please please help me!
 
Ignore Dyret, he's stupid. Could you post anything more specific about your system and eventual error codes? I suspect you want it to run in Windows XP, right?
 
yes, when i try and play it it says "cannot display video mode" or something similar. Do you know where i can get all my system details from so i can tell you the deatils etc? thanx
