Hi everybody,

I own WC3 and WC4 for Macintosh and I'd like to play them on a PC with DosBox or whatever else.
Is there anyone who can please help me telling what have I to do ?
I got no clue where to start.
Many thanks to all of you.

You'll need some sort've virtualization software along with a compatible form of MacOS. I prefer Microsoft Virtual PC- it's totally free and has a complete feature set- Microsoft didn't develop it, for the most part, but released it after buying out the company. Now, go to EasyVMX.com, they have a virtual machine generator that'll make things easier, alternatively you can generate the machine from within Virtual PC.

Now, open up VPC; I forget if it opens with a wizard to create a machine or just the base menu; in case of the latter, click New. If you made the machine with EasyVMX, click add existing, and navigate to where you saved EasyVMX's file; otherwise, click on generate new machine.

Once you've gotten all that done, you have a virtual Macintosh that's totally blank. This is where you'll need MacOS to continue; it's the equivalent of a PC without windows at this point. Once you're done, congrats! You should be ready to go!

WC3 and WC4 were designed to run on Mac OS 8 or 9. However, it's going to require a pretty fast PC in order to emulate the OS with reasonable performance. I'm also not sure where you would be able to find a copy of OS 9 easily. The easiest path for you might be to just find an older Mac and run it natively.

DOSBox is designed to run DOS games.
