I just got my hands on a dos copy of wc3, and I went to run it on an old p166 (dos only). Sadly, the only vintage vid card I had was 512k and the game started chugging. So I plugged a pci TNT2 card, and had to change some bios settings to get it to work.

Only it still doesn't work, and my old card doesn't like the new bios settings. So I can't see anything.
So I guess my question is, how would I go about resetting the bios to default without seeing the screen. (It's an award bios, circa '95)

unplug the machine, and take out the battery on the motherboard for a day. then put it back in, plug the computer back in, and it *should* work.
if not, consult the manual

RTFM forever!!!!!

Doesn't take a day if you remove the battery... There is, of course, an easier way.

Refer to your motherboard manual. There's generally a jumper on there that you can use to short two pins and reset your BIOS.

Well I'd try it blind. Take your manual. Look where the load default settings is located.
Then on bootup press DEL, hit down as many times as needed, hit return, hit y, hit return.

The battery trick could work, but you have to disassemble your machine and if you are unlucky the batt cannot be removed...

I´m not really good at BIOS support, but I would try "loading bios defaults", then "loading setup defaults" on the BIOS settings...
