I installed it and like everyone else I am reading from it worked fine except for the sound. THe videos were great, but the game play had terrible sound clips. I looked up how to fix this with VDMS and it worked great, but now my videos freeze up instantly. It's like I cant catch a break here. Is there anyway to fix the sound and the video with out one killing the other?

Well, if you'Ve got a fast machine, you can try out DosBox 0.63. - Videos and sound works great with it on my machine, but there is stuttering during (very) close fights. - My guess is, that a faster CPU might fix this last bug as well.
(when using "dynamic core" in DosBox, it's nearly unnoticable for me, but that crashes nearly as often as WC3 KS-version :( )

Anyway, here is my Setup:
Windows XP Pro SP2
Dosbox 0.63
Abit IC7-G
PIV 3.2Ghz HT
2GB RAM
X800Pro @ XT
SB Audigy 2 ZS

Good luck ;)

P.S.: When using VDMS it doesn't crash for me, but sound is uggly - could not fix that after asking/browsing several forums :(

not to Dosbox savy :(

OK I downloaded Dosbox. It seems like it is doing what it should be doing (I'm not to knowledgable about dos related stuff) but when I tried to load the game it said Can't find the JEMM overlay file. What do I do about that?

Set the line "EMS=xxxx" to true if it was false and false if it was true. Also did you mount the CD drive?

crashes from cd rom

OK I mounted the cd-rom drive and ran wc3 exe from there. It looked like it was going to work and then it crashed. :( I suck at this. :)

Hmm. Any error messagesor so?

I've seen you already read the Dosbox-sticky:
Did you set the CPU Core to dynamic, like I posted it in my WC3-config in that thread? - If so: That's why it crashes. Try setting it at "normal" first and see what cycles you are able to run.

Btw, what CPU do you have? - I ask, cause cycles depend on that quite much.
